Marketing Specialist

Overview

The Marketing Specialist will play a key role in the continued development of the Marketing department and will help facilitate the next phase of growth for the company. The Marketing Specialist will create marketing collateral, brand Birkman in the industry, and support lead generation. The Marketing Specialist will create B2B communications across a variety of mediums, including print, website, email, video, and more. This position reports to the Marketing Manager.

Key Duties

  • Serve as support for all marketing activities and initiatives, leading projects as assigned.
  • Create written marketing content surrounding Birkman value proposition, training, and products to be distributed across a myriad of platforms, including the company blog and website.
  • Aid in proofing documents to ensure alignment with the Birkman brand, both in terms of the written and visual style.
  • Utilize graphic design skills to produce new and improve existing print, digital, and web communications.
  • Collaborate with product and training internal departments to proactively support their communications and promotions needs.
  • Support event marketing and coordination of conferences and trade shows.
  • Manage and create content on Birkman social media platforms to engage with users and develop brand awareness.
  • Coordinate with existing clients to create case studies and testimonials.
  • Aid in ongoing website improvement, managed in Wordpress CMS.
  • Use HubSpot marketing automation software to coordinate lead nurturing campaigns, email marketing, social media, and blog.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations for sales and other departments.
  • Aid in the creation of photography and video marketing assets.

 

Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail for handling client-facing communications
  • Familiarity with graphic design principles and Adobe Creative Cloud software
  • Familiarity with HubSpot marketing automation software preferred
  • Knowledge of WordPress CMS and SEO best practices
  • Knowledge of B2B social media and email marketing best practices

 

Education and Experience 

  • Minimum of 3-5 year of relevant experience in marketing or communications
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, English, or other communications-focused area. 

 

Compensation

  • Annual salary: Commensurate with experience.
  • Includes participation in Birkman’s full-time employee benefits programs.
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Plan program.
