Software Product Manager


Birkman International, the leader in workplace assessments, has an opening for Software Product Manager at its headquarters in Houston, Texas. The Software Product Manager is a key role in the development of new software products and services that are aligned with the strategic vision of the company. This position will also work with Marketing, Training, IT, and Product Development teams to solicit feedback, document requirements, and manage software projects throughout the development life cycle. The Software Product Manager will report to the VP of Product Innovations.

We are seeking an energetic, results-oriented, highly ethical, motivated, experienced, and hands-on professional to perform the following:

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and manage the strategy, budget, roadmap, feature set, and implementation of web-based, mobile, and API software solutions for both internal and external customers
  • Interact with partners, customers and prospects to define market requirements, and translate these requirements into product requirements (PRDs) that the engineering team can deliver to, on time, and within budget
  • Assist with the authoring of vision and strategy documents as well as project charters for major initiatives
  • Serve as liaison between departmental stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance, and IT to ensure successful launch of product and services
  • Guide software UI design to maximize usability of applications


  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Mastery of SDLC processes and methodologies including Agile development
  • Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment while staying focused on project execution
