Software Project Manager


The Software Project Manager is a key role in the development of new software products and services along with implementing and integrating third party internal systems. This position will work with all functional departments within the company to solicit feedback, document requirements, and manage software projects throughout the development life cycle. The Software Project Manager will report to the VP of Information Technology.

Key Duties

  • Participate in gathering and documenting requirements, defining project scope, estimating budgets and working with the cross functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including resource plans and budgets.
  • Ensure defined project scope is adhered to and that all changes in scope are documented and approved via the agreed upon change management process.
  • Direct technical and non-technical staff in the installation, integration, modification, and enhancement of small and medium sized application implementations.
  • Proactively identify and manage potential project risks / threats, develop and pursue mitigation strategies, as warranted, and communicate to management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure on-time achievement of project milestones and deliverables as defined within the contract and project plan.
  • Provide timely written and/or verbal communication regarding project status, health and direction to key stakeholders including internal and external management (as appropriate).
  • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
  • Limited travel in the United States and International as required.

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of demonstrated successful project management and business analysis experience.
  • PMP or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Experience using Agile methodology
  • A comprehensive understanding of software and information technology.
  • Proficient in use of MS Project for developing and maintaining project plans.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills including experience in presenting to key stakeholders and senior management; strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills; strong analytical and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to effectively utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)



  • Annual salary: Commensurate with experience.
